The 27^th Peaks Island Clamshell Relay race will be held on July 4^th at 10:00 a.m. at the Lion’s Club (sign-ups start at 9:30). Simply bring a partner and run, jog, or walk your way to unusual prizes.

The course is 1.8 miles long. One relay partner runs from the Lion’s Club entrance to the Fifth Maine. There, a beautiful maiden (Sandi Radis) will give you a clamshell. Return to the Lion’s Club and hand the shell to your partner, who takes off in the opposite direction, all the way to Centennial Beach.  Dip the clamshell in Casco Bay and dash back to the starting line. I’m tired just describing it.
