An intimate performance by David Wax Museum’s founders, David Wax and Suz Slezak, as they make their first appearance on Peak’s Island. A folk and roots rock band that blends traditional Mexican folk music with Americana, David Wax Museum tours the world but got their start playing smaller rooms and backyards across the country.

For this special concert, the duo returns to their acoustic roots and will be playing songs from throughout the band’s 16-year-catalog, including their newest quarantine records and Suz’s solo debut album. NPR has described them as “pure, irresistible joy” and they get rave reviews everywhere from SPIN and Entertainment Weekly to the New York Times and The Guardian (which dubbed the music “global crossover at its best”).
